My name is Motaki, and I love to make software. I get excited about building something that has a certain beauty and usefulness. I care as much about the beauty of internals as how things look to the people who use them. I feel immense joy picturing the faces of people using something I made and realize how it solves exactly their problems—maybe even finding it beautiful, without knowing exactly why.
I’m a father of two and enjoy cooking for my family. I’m into arthouse cinema, music, and literature. Also a wannabe carpenter on weekends.
This is my little place on the vast, beautiful internet. Although I am a technologist at heart, half the time, I strive to be away from technology, to take in the physical world we live in, to be close to the places and people I love and care about. And I am hoping to write about this inherent contradiction. This in-between.
Will also be reviewing some of my favorite literature, albums, and films. I wholeheartedly believe these things are our last guides to show and teach us about what matters in life.
